- • Leads highly complex, large-scale public safety projects involving Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD), Mobile Computing, Records Management Systems, and Jail Management Systems.
- • Directs and manages cross-functional project teams across organizational boundaries, providing leadership, guidance, mentoring, and support throughout all project phases.
- • Establishes and maintains project budgets, schedules, communication plans, risk assessment and mitigation plans, and quality assurance protocols for all assigned deployments.
- • Responsible for the profitability of all projects under direct control, including financial oversight and invoice approval.
- • Prepares and delivers system integration quotations and statements of work for customer proposals.
- • Creates, distributes, and presents comprehensive project status reports and results to internal stakeholders and external customers.
- • Drives strategic relationships between internal teams and external public safety jurisdictions, including Statewide, Regional, County, and City-level agencies.
- • Resolves conflicts and issues between internal departments and external customer teams to ensure project alignment and timely delivery.
- • Participates in pre-contract evaluations of contract terms and scope to identify and mitigate potential risks or gaps before project initiation.
- • Engages in pre-contract oral presentations and customer negotiations to secure project agreements and define deliverables.
- • Collaborates with the Project Management Office to identify, implement, and standardize process improvements and best practices across the Project Management discipline.
- • Travels 25%–50% of the time within the Eastern United States to support on-site deployments, customer meetings, and project oversight.
- • Must comply with and operate within high-security environments governed by the U.S. Department of Justice’s Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy.
- • Works remotely from the Eastern U.S. region, with no relocation assistance provided.
- • Reports to the Regional Deployment/Services Manager and manages a team of individual contributors across multiple technical and operational disciplines.
🎯 Requirements
- • High School diploma, Technical Certification, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Program Management, Business Operations, Communications, Finance, IT, Solutions, or Technology.
- • Must be able to obtain and maintain a government-required background clearance, including a stringent fingerprint background check per CJIS Security Policy.
- • Proven experience managing complex public safety technology deployments (CAD, Mobile Computing, Records Management, Jail Management).
- • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage project profitability, budgets, and schedules.
- • Willingness and ability to travel 25%–50% within the Eastern United States.
- • Experience preparing statements of work, quotations, and project status reports for government and public safety clients.
