- • Design and deliver culturally appropriate, trauma-informed capacity-building training and compliance assistance to Alaska Native victim services programs to ensure adherence to DOJ/OJP award conditions, including client confidentiality, program narratives, and time-task plans.
- • Develop and advance customized assistance plans for Alaska Tribal grant recipients to strengthen their ability to expand, sustain, and improve crime victim services for survivors of human trafficking, child sexual abuse, domestic violence, elder abuse, and families of Missing or Murdered Indigenous Persons (MMIP).
- • Conduct comprehensive community needs assessments and evaluate grantee infrastructure, resources, and capacity to identify gaps and inform strategic planning.
- • Facilitate trainings, webinars, peer learning exchanges, and communities of practice tailored to Alaska Native audiences and their unique cultural and geographic contexts.
- • Assist grantees in resolving OJP monitoring issues and implementing corrective actions to maintain compliance with federal grant requirements.
- • Create and distribute culturally responsive, trauma-informed policies, procedures, and educational resources that align with the needs of Alaska Native communities.
- • Collaborate closely with grantees, government clients, subject matter experts, and Alaska partners to ensure coordinated, effective support for victim service programs.
- • Provide strategic planning support to help organizations build sustainable, long-term victim service models that reflect community priorities and federal standards.
- • Serve as a trusted resource to senior management and federal clients on the unique challenges facing Alaska Native communities, including access to broadband, regional isolation, and cultural nuances.
- • Maintain proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, Teams) and digital platforms for virtual training, webinars, and remote collaboration.
- • Travel to remote Alaska communities as required to conduct on-site assessments, trainings, and stakeholder meetings.
- • Monitor and report on outcomes of assistance activities, ensuring measurable progress in program development, compliance, and service delivery.
- • Apply adult learning principles to adapt content delivery methods based on learner experience, preferences, and accessibility constraints.
- • Demonstrate professionalism, tact, and diplomacy when navigating sensitive issues related to trauma, cultural practices, and federal compliance.
- • Adapt quickly to evolving priorities in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple concurrent projects and deadlines.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree or demonstrated equivalent experience
- • Minimum 2 years’ experience delivering capacity building and/or compliance assistance to Alaska Native communities
- • Minimum 5 years’ experience in victim services
- • Must be located in Alaska
- • U.S. citizenship required
- • Must obtain Public Trust security clearance prior to start date
