- • As a Field Property Adjuster for Allstate in Northern Virginia/Alexandria, VA, you will play a critical role in helping policyholders recover from property damage by conducting on-site inspections, investigating coverage, preparing accurate estimates, and settling claims efficiently—directly supporting Allstate’s mission to protect families from life’s uncertainties.
- • You will serve as the frontline representative of Allstate’s Claims Culture, combining empathy, technical expertise, and problem-solving skills to guide customers through stressful situations with compassion and clarity, ensuring fair and timely resolutions.
- • Conduct on-site property inspections at policyholders’ homes to assess damage, document findings, and prepare detailed estimates using Xactimate and other industry-standard tools.
- • Investigate coverage by reviewing policy terms, interpreting exclusions and endorsements, and determining liability for water loss and other property claims.
- • Settle claims promptly and efficiently by negotiating with customers, vendors, third-party carriers, and claimants using established methodologies and critical thinking to reach fair outcomes.
- • Handle virtual claims nationwide via platforms like ClaimsX Video Collaboration, adapting communication styles to customer preferences (phone, email, video) to maintain engagement and transparency throughout the process.
- • Maintain accurate, timely records in Allstate’s claims management system, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements while protecting the company financially.
- • Utilize ladders and access roofs up to a 6/12 pitch on one- to two-story homes to inspect damage safely, demonstrating physical capability and commitment to thorough assessments.
- • You will join a dedicated, mission-driven claims team at Allstate, a company with over 90 years of innovation in insurance protection, known for leadership in telematics, pricing sophistication, and customer advocacy.

🎯 Requirements
- • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to customers’ homes across Northern Virginia and handle virtual claims nationwide.
- • Ability to carry a 50-pound ladder and safely access roofs up to a 6/12 pitch on one- to two-story residential structures.
- • Residency within the greater Northern Virginia area is mandatory for this role.
