📋 Description
- • The Provider Engagement Specialist role is critical to Alignment Healthcare’s mission of transforming senior care by building trusted relationships with physician practices and provider groups in the Tulare/Kern/Kings, CA market, directly impacting quality, growth, retention, and utilization metrics.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include visiting provider offices (approximately 80% travel), presenting performance insights, educating providers on Alignment programs, conducting onboarding and ongoing training, resolving provider issues (UM, prior auth, claims, eligibility), developing training materials, representing Alignment at community events, and maintaining detailed activity reports and databases.
- • The Provider Engagement team operates within a fast-growing, mission-driven organization committed to serving seniors and the chronically ill, where innovation and collaboration are valued, and employees have ample opportunity for growth alongside a passionate community dedicated to putting the senior first.
- • In this role, you will develop expertise in healthcare provider relations, performance improvement strategies, healthcare analytics (KPIs, HEDIS, risk adjustment), contract negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration—gaining tangible impact on network expansion and quality outcomes while building a career in a purpose-led healthcare organization.
🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum of 2 years of related experience in provider relations or contracting with an HMO, IPA, medical group, or institutional provider
- • Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent combination of education and experience
- • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with strong analytic, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
- • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and automobile insurance required for 80%+ routine travel by car in the assigned market
