- • The Public Relations Manager will lead media relations and storytelling efforts to amplify Equip Health’s mission of expanding access to evidence-based eating disorder treatment, securing placements across health, tech, culture, and lifestyle media to drive brand awareness and public understanding.
- • Day to day, the role involves pitching and securing media placements, developing press releases and talking points, managing media inquiries, coordinating interviews, supporting spokesperson preparation, monitoring coverage, and executing research-driven campaigns using tools like Muck Rack to measure impact.
- • The Communications team at Equip Health is mission-driven and collaborative, working closely with Marketing, Clinical, People, and Patient Acquisition to ensure consistent messaging that balances clinical authority with empathy, all while supporting a fully remote, inclusive culture recognized for innovation in mental health care.
- • In this role, the individual will deepen expertise in health-tech PR, executive thought leadership, and crisis communications, while gaining experience in data-informed media strategy and cross-functional leadership within a fast-growing, purpose-led organization.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in PR, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
- • 5-7 years of professional experience in Public Relations or Communications (agency or in-house).
- • Prior experience in health-tech, behavioral health, or a highly regulated industry is strongly preferred.
- • Self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and can manage multiple workstreams independently with minimal guidance.
- • Experience using PR measurement tools (like MuckRack) to translate media mentions into actionable business insights.
- • Strong writing and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt tone for diverse audiences—from medical journals to consumer platforms like TikTok.
