- • Lead the planning, design, implementation, and ongoing support of remote monitoring systems that enable clinical engineering operations across multiple healthcare systems and medical device types.
- • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for Predictive Work Systems (PWS) Operations, clinical engineering teams, biomedical technicians, and hospital IT departments.
- • Coordinate hardware provisioning, software configuration, and network connectivity activities with field technicians, hospital IT staff, and external vendors to ensure seamless deployment of remote monitoring solutions.
- • Maintain and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and troubleshooting guides for remote monitoring systems and associated infrastructure.
- • Perform patching, access control management, and security hardening of remote monitoring servers to ensure compliance with HIPAA, ISO 27001, ISO 13485, and SOC2 standards.
- • Systematically investigate and resolve complex technical issues spanning monitoring servers, hospital networks, cloud infrastructure, and medical device hardware/software to determine root causes—whether user-driven, procedural, environmental, or systemic.
- • Convert incident knowledge into automated monitoring rules, script-based solutions, and standardized procedures to reduce recurring issues and operational overhead.
- • Design and deliver training sessions for field personnel and hospital staff to improve system adoption, reduce support interventions, and enhance technical competency.
- • Mentor junior engineers and field technicians by providing clear task assignments, performance feedback, and technical guidance.
- • Identify and implement automation, standardization, and cost-optimization opportunities across remote monitoring operations to improve scalability and reliability.
- • Collaborate closely with the PWS development team to enhance system functionality, improve platform security, and align operational needs with product evolution.
- • Communicate status updates, project milestones, and technical decisions to hospital IT management, clinical engineering leadership, and internal stakeholders through meetings, presentations, and written reports.
- • Balance incident response, project delivery, and routine maintenance activities with minimal supervision while ensuring zero disruption to clinical operations.
- • Adhere to and enforce all relevant hospital security policies and regulatory requirements throughout system deployment and support cycles.
- • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on increasing system uptime, reducing mean time to resolution, and expanding operational efficiency across diverse hospital environments.
- • Lead cross-functional initiatives that require coordination between clinical engineering, hospital IT, field teams, and internal product teams to achieve shared operational goals.
- • Ensure all activities comply with the company’s commitment to patient safety, data privacy, and ethical standards in healthcare technology operations.
