📋 Description
- • Design and implement multi-file coding tasks focused on bug resolution, feature development, refactoring, and test generation for production-grade software systems.
- • Write clear, precise natural-language specifications and reference implementations that accurately define coding challenges and expected outcomes.
- • Develop and extend comprehensive unit and integration test suites using frameworks such as pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, or Go testing to validate code correctness and robustness.
- • Review peer-generated coding tasks for correctness, clarity, realism, and alignment with specified requirements, identifying edge cases, ambiguities, and potential failure modes.
- • Ensure strict alignment between task specifications, reference implementations, and expected outputs to maintain high-quality, production-realistic engineering scenarios.
- • Navigate and debug large, complex, multi-file codebases to assess code quality, architecture, and maintainability in realistic software environments.
- • Participate in structured code review processes, providing actionable feedback on peer submissions related to code structure, performance, readability, and adherence to best practices.
- • Contribute to production migrations and code refactoring efforts by analyzing existing systems and proposing improvements that enhance scalability and reliability.
- • Work independently on a project-based, part-time consultant basis with full control over schedule and workload.
- • Use personal tools and infrastructure to complete assignments; no company-provided equipment or software is provided.
- • Collaborate remotely with a global team of software engineers and AI researchers to evaluate and refine software engineering tasks for an AI lab.
- • Deliver high-quality artifacts including validated test suites, accurate reference implementations, and detailed peer review feedback within project timelines.
- • Maintain professional written proficiency in English to produce clear, unambiguous technical documentation and feedback.
- • Work on a per-project payment basis, with compensation determined by estimated completion time and task complexity.
- • May simultaneously engage with other vendors or employers, provided such arrangements do not conflict with the terms of this engagement.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3–7 years of professional software engineering experience
- • Advanced professional written proficiency in English
- • Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript
- • Backend or full-stack development experience in production systems
- • Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, Go testing)
- • Proven ability to debug and navigate large, multi-file codebases
