- • Design and implement multi-file coding tasks focused on bug resolution, feature development, refactoring, and test generation for production-realistic software engineering scenarios.
- • Write clear, precise natural-language specifications and reference implementations that accurately define expected behavior and implementation requirements.
- • Develop and extend comprehensive unit and integration test suites using frameworks such as pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, or Go testing to validate code correctness and edge case handling.
- • Review peer-generated coding tasks for correctness, clarity, realism, and alignment with specifications, identifying ambiguities, edge cases, and potential failure modes.
- • Ensure strict alignment between task specifications, reference implementations, and expected outputs to maintain high-quality evaluation standards.
- • Navigate and debug large, complex, multi-file codebases to assess code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices.
- • Participate in code reviews and refactoring exercises to evaluate the effectiveness of code improvements and migration strategies.
- • Contribute to the creation of production-grade coding challenges used for expert evaluation by AI labs and engineering teams.
- • Manage own schedule and workload as a project-based consultant with no fixed hours or mandatory availability.
- • Work remotely with no requirement to be present in any physical office or location.
- • Deliver high-quality, validated artifacts including complete reference implementations, robust test coverage, and structured, actionable peer review feedback.
- • Maintain professional written proficiency in English to produce clear, unambiguous technical documentation and feedback.
- • Operate independently using personal tools and infrastructure, with no equipment or software provided by the company.
- • Engage in project-based work only, with compensation calculated per-project based on estimated completion time, not hourly.
- • May concurrently provide services to other vendors or employers, provided those arrangements do not conflict with this engagement’s terms.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3–7 years of professional software engineering experience
- • Advanced professional written proficiency in English
- • Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript
- • Backend or full-stack development experience in production systems
- • Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, Go testing)
- • Proven ability to debug and navigate large, multi-file codebases
