- • As a QA Analyst at Hudu, you will play an indispensable role in ensuring our sophisticated Ruby on Rails SaaS platform consistently delivers a seamless and intuitive user interface (UI) and user experience (UX). - • The essential functions of this role encompass a broad range of critical QA activities, including but not limited to:
- • **Cross-Functional Collaboration:** Actively participate in design and development reviews, providing invaluable early-stage feedback on usability, layout aesthetics, and interaction design principles to ensure a cohesive and intuitive user journey from conception.
- • **Comprehensive UI/UX Testing:** Conduct rigorous manual and automated testing of our Ruby on Rails applications across both desktop and mobile platforms. This includes verifying responsive design implementation, validating intuitive user flows, and ensuring pixel-perfect rendering across various devices and screen sizes.
- • **Diverse Testing Methodologies:** Execute a variety of testing approaches, including in-depth exploratory testing to uncover unexpected issues, comprehensive regression testing to ensure new changes do not negatively impact existing functionality, and cross-browser testing to guarantee consistent performance and appearance across different web browsers.
- • **Detailed Defect Reporting:** Meticulously identify, document, and report defects with clear, concise reproduction steps. This includes providing essential supporting evidence such as screenshots, console logs, and session recordings to facilitate efficient and rapid resolution by the development team.
- • **Performance and Usability Focus:** Perform testing specifically focused on user experience under performance constraints. This involves verifying smooth data loading, validating robust error handling mechanisms, and ensuring clear user feedback mechanisms are in place, especially during scenarios involving slow or failed backend responses.
- • **Process Improvement:** Continuously contribute to the enhancement of our testing coverage, exploration of new tools, and refinement of existing processes. 🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum of 4 years of working experience in a SaaS QA role, with a strong understanding of UI/UX testing principles.
- • Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent education/experience in computer science is preferred.
- • Proven experience with bug reporting and excellent communication skills for effective cross-team collaboration.
- • Familiarity with Git or Mercurial, and experience with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions or GitLab Pipelines.
- • Knowledge of Rails, AWS, and Kubernetes basics is a plus.
- • Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
