- • As we continue our ambitious global expansion, Masabi is experiencing unprecedented growth, marked by the development of new functionalities and the rapid onboarding of customers and partners. To maintain our commitment to exceptional software quality during this dynamic phase, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Backend Test Automation Engineer to join our dedicated QA team in Romania.
- • This pivotal role offers a unique opportunity to contribute significantly to the quality assurance of complex, distributed systems that operate on both RESTful and event-driven architectures. You will be instrumental in ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of our core platform.
- • The successful candidate will possess a strong foundation in backend automation testing, coupled with the ability to conduct thorough manual end-to-end testing of intricate features across multiple systems. A key aspect of this role involves leveraging modern AI tools, such as Large Language Models (LLMs), AI copilots, and specialized AI test assistants, to significantly boost productivity, enhance test coverage, and accelerate the debugging process.
- • Your responsibilities will encompass the entire testing lifecycle, from initial strategy development to final execution and reporting. You will be tasked with creating detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test strategies and test cases that directly align with customer requirements and business objectives. This includes not only developing new test plans but also actively reviewing and enhancing existing strategies, adding significant value to our end-to-end testing methodologies.
- • Collaboration is at the heart of our QA process. You will work closely with product management to meticulously translate new features into robust test cases, ensuring that all aspects of functionality are thoroughly validated. Furthermore, you will engage with product and engineering teams, reviewing and analyzing requirements and technical design documents to provide timely and constructive feedback, thereby influencing the design and implementation from a quality perspective.
- • A core part of your role will involve maintaining and extending the capabilities of our existing test frameworks, ensuring they remain efficient, scalable, and up-to-date with evolving technologies. You will also play a crucial role in supporting your teammates by actively sharing your knowledge, insights, and best practices, while also being receptive to learning from others within the team.
- • To ensure the highest standards of software quality, you will perform both manual and automated end-to-end testing. This hands-on testing will be critical in identifying, documenting, and reporting bugs, ensuring that our software meets rigorous quality benchmarks before deployment.
- • Embracing innovation, you will utilize AI tools to proactively identify edge cases and complex test scenarios that might otherwise be missed. Additionally, you will apply AI for efficient and effective test data generation, streamlining a often time-consuming aspect of testing.
