📋 Description

• As a QA Automation Engineer at Sportygroup B.V., you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of every software release, with direct influence over launch decisions and the ability to champion quality throughout the development lifecycle.
• You will be embedded in a remote-first, globally distributed team that values autonomy, technical excellence, and continuous improvement, where your expertise in test automation directly impacts product stability and user experience across web and mobile platforms.
• Day to day, you will design, develop, and execute automated test cases for web, mobile (Android/iOS), and API layers using Python, Selenium, Appium, and Postman, while maintaining and enhancing test frameworks to improve coverage and efficiency.
• You will integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Kubernetes, analyze test results to identify trends and flakiness, and collaborate with developers to resolve issues early in the cycle.
• You will perform black-box, white-box, integration, and performance testing, simulate real-user scenarios, and review code and designs to provide actionable feedback that elevates overall product quality.
• You will track, document, and analyze defects using tools like Jira, communicate findings clearly to cross-functional teams, and mentor junior engineers in best practices for test automation and quality assurance.
• You will continuously improve quality processes by identifying gaps, proposing enhancements, and driving adoption of new tools or methodologies that strengthen the team’s testing capabilities.
• You will stay current with emerging testing technologies and techniques, dedicating time to skill development and knowledge sharing to ensure the team remains at the forefront of QA innovation.

• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in full-stack test automation, gain hands-on experience with modern DevOps toolchains (AWS, Kubernetes, Jenkins), and grow into a trusted quality advocate who shapes both product and process.

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience in software testing, with a strong focus on test automation for web, mobile, and API applications.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong proficiency in Python for writing and maintaining automated test scripts and frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerizing and orchestrating test environments.
• Proven experience designing and executing automated tests for native mobile applications using Appium on both Android and iOS platforms.
• Solid understanding of testing types including unit, integration, end-to-end, regression, stress/performance, and API testing, with practical application in CI/CD environments.
