📋 Description

• Join the Partner Programs & Portfolio Management project at SwingDev, supporting Hippo Insurance’s carrier platform that powers critical business functions for MGA partners, underwriters, reinsurance, and finance teams.
• Collaborate with a Senior QA Engineer and Senior SDET to ensure reliability and scalability of systems handling data ingestion pipelines, catastrophe risk models, underwriting workflows, and policy lifecycle changes.
• Test complex, business-critical insurance workflows in a live carrier environment, ensuring features are thoroughly validated before release.
• Work closely with Engineers, Data Analysts, and Product Managers from the earliest stages of requirement definition through to final release sign-off.
• Participate in end-to-end testing processes covering functional, regression, and integration testing for data-driven insurance platforms.
• Contribute to test strategy development, test case design, and test automation efforts aligned with project goals and quality standards.
• Identify, document, and track defects across multiple systems, ensuring clear communication and timely resolution with engineering and product teams.
• Ensure compliance with quality assurance protocols and maintain accurate documentation of test plans, results, and outcomes.
• Engage in cross-functional team meetings to align on priorities, risks, and timelines for platform enhancements and new feature deployments.
• Help maintain a culture of trust, empathy, and positivity by collaborating as a teammate and contributing to a supportive, human-centered work environment.

• Gain hands-on exposure to InsurTech innovation, working on systems that directly impact how home insurance is delivered and managed through technology.

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing efficiency, reduce manual effort, and increase test coverage across the product stack.
• Maintain awareness of evolving business needs within the insurance carrier domain and adapt testing approaches accordingly.
• Support the team’s mission to make home insurance smarter and more proactive by ensuring the underlying technology is robust, accurate, and reliable.

🎯 Requirements

• Experience as a QA Engineer in a software or data-intensive environment
• Proven ability to design and execute test cases for complex, business-critical systems
• Familiarity with testing data pipelines, risk models, or insurance workflows
