• • As a QA Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our sophisticated financial market solutions. Your primary responsibility will be to execute a comprehensive suite of tests, including functional, regression, and system integration tests, to identify and resolve defects before they impact our clients.
• • You will be instrumental in designing Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) test scenarios, meticulously crafting test plans that are deeply rooted in complex financial market rules. This involves a thorough understanding of concepts such as pricing, redemptions, fees, settlements, corporate actions, and reconciliations, ensuring that our software adheres to all regulatory and business requirements.
• • A key aspect of this role is ensuring complete requirements coverage. You will establish end-to-end traceability, meticulously linking test scenarios, the evidence gathered during testing, and the specific functionalities they validate. This rigorous approach guarantees that every requirement is tested and accounted for.
• • Data validation is a critical component of your responsibilities. You will leverage your strong SQL skills to query databases, ensuring data integrity, consistency, and accuracy across various systems. This deep dive into data is essential for maintaining the reliability of our financial platforms.
• • You will also be tasked with testing and analyzing API behavior. This includes understanding how APIs handle requests, process responses, and manage edge conditions, ensuring seamless integration and robust performance.
• • Effective defect management is paramount. You will create detailed JIRA tickets, providing clear descriptions, structured evidence, and comprehensive documentation for each issue identified. You will then track these defects throughout their lifecycle, performing retesting to confirm fixes and ensuring their timely resolution.
• • Throughout the testing process, you will meticulously manage and document the status of test execution, accurately categorizing outcomes as Passed, Failed, Blocked, or other relevant statuses. This detailed tracking provides clear visibility into the testing progress.
• • You will be responsible for preparing and delivering insightful Status Reports, which will include key quality metrics and an overview of the testing progress. These reports are crucial for informing stakeholders about the project's quality status.
