Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own the quality bar for the world’s largest environmental-commodities trading platform, where billions of dollars in renewable-energy credits, carbon offsets, and RECs change hands each year. Every test you design and execute directly safeguards the integrity of markets that are accelerating the global transition to net-zero.
- • Architect end-to-end test strategies that span functional, regression, performance, security, and cross-browser coverage for a microservices-based platform processing high-frequency trades and immutable environmental claims.
- • Translate complex business rules—such as renewable-energy certificate retirement or carbon-credit vintage validation—into precise, traceable test cases that auditors, regulators, and Fortune-500 clients can trust.
- • Build and maintain an automated test suite using Cypress (UI) and REST-Assured (API) that runs in CI/CD on every pull request, shrinking release cycles from weeks to hours while maintaining five-nines reliability.
- • Partner with product managers, quant engineers, and sustainability analysts during three-amigos sessions to clarify acceptance criteria, uncover edge cases, and inject quality thinking before a single line of code is written.
- • Execute exploratory and risk-based manual testing when automation is not yet cost-effective—especially around new blockchain-anchored registry features—documenting defects with screenshots, HAR files, and reproducible Postman collections.
- • Profile and performance-test microservices under realistic market-stress scenarios (e.g., 10× volume during quarterly compliance deadlines) using JMeter or k6, then distill findings into actionable tuning recommendations for the SRE team.
- • Champion a shift-left culture by embedding quality gates, contract tests, and synthetic monitoring into GitHub Actions so that defects are caught within minutes, not days.
- • Collaborate with InfoSec to design and run OWASP-based security test suites, ensuring that private keys for environmental assets and trader credentials remain uncompromised.
- • Maintain living documentation in Confluence that maps every test to regulatory requirements (CFTC, ISO-14064, TIGR registry rules), enabling external auditors to verify compliance in hours, not weeks.
- • Mentor junior QA engineers through pair-programming sessions and code reviews, raising the collective automation-first mindset and reducing escaped defects by 30 % year-over-year.
- • Continuously refine the QA roadmap—evaluating new tools like Playwright or Pact for contract testing—so Xpansiv stays ahead of market demands and regulatory change.
