đź“‹ Description
- • As a QA Engineer at Simpplr, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our AI-powered digital workplace platform. This contract position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a cutting-edge automation ecosystem, working with modern technologies like Playwright and TypeScript.
- • You will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining robust UI and API automation tests. This involves translating complex requirements into effective test strategies and implementing them using Playwright, a powerful browser automation tool, and TypeScript, a statically typed superset of JavaScript that enhances code quality and maintainability.
- • A significant aspect of your role will be contributing to Simpplr's in-house automation framework. This means you won't just be writing tests; you'll be enhancing the framework itself by developing new utilities, refining existing fixtures, and creating reusable modules that improve the efficiency and scalability of our testing efforts.
- • You will be responsible for ensuring the high quality of your test code, adhering to best practices for readability and maintainability. This includes actively participating in debugging processes and effectively triaging issues identified during testing, collaborating closely with development teams to pinpoint root causes and facilitate swift resolutions.
- • Collaboration is key in this role. You will partner closely with developers and senior QA leads to ensure seamless validation of new features and contribute to the overall stability of our releases. This cross-functional teamwork ensures that quality is embedded throughout the development lifecycle.
- • You will have the opportunity to explore and experiment with modern testing tools and methodologies. This includes participating in Proofs of Concept (POCs) to evaluate new technologies and best practices that can further elevate our QA capabilities and developer experience.
- • For those with an interest in performance, there is an optional but encouraged opportunity to contribute to performance testing initiatives. This could involve utilizing tools like k6 or similar performance testing frameworks to assess the scalability and responsiveness of our platform under various load conditions.
- • The role demands a strong understanding of core testing concepts, including effective use of selectors, robust assertions, precise wait strategies, thoughtful test design, and efficient debugging techniques. This foundational knowledge is crucial for building reliable and effective automated tests.
- • You will also gain exposure to API testing, specifically focusing on RESTful services. This involves understanding how to interact with and validate APIs, ensuring that the backend services powering our platform are functioning correctly and efficiently.
- • Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git, and basic command-line workflows is essential for seamless integration into our development and CI/CD pipelines.
- • This position offers a fantastic learning curve, providing exposure to modern tools and a highly collaborative, ownership-driven environment. You will go beyond simply writing tests to understanding the intricacies of framework development, utility creation, and tool integration, all aimed at enhancing product quality.
- • By joining Simpplr, you'll be working on a platform that transforms the employee experience for over 1,000 leading organizations, including well-known names like AAA, the NHS, Penske, and Moderna. Your contributions will directly impact the usability and performance of a product used by thousands of employees worldwide.
- • The contract nature of this role provides flexibility while offering the chance to immerse yourself in a dynamic and innovative tech environment. You'll be part of a team that values engineering excellence and is committed to building a best-in-class digital workplace solution.
- • You will be encouraged to share your insights and contribute to discussions on improving our testing strategies and processes, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the QA team.
- • This role is ideal for a QA Engineer who is passionate about automation, eager to learn and grow, and wants to make a tangible impact on a leading enterprise software platform.
- • You will be expected to maintain a high level of professionalism and communication, working effectively within a remote or hybrid team structure as per Simpplr's flexible work model.
- • The opportunity to work with senior engineers who are dedicated to clean code and robust testing practices will provide invaluable mentorship and professional development.
- • Ultimately, your work will contribute to Simpplr's mission of transforming the employee experience by ensuring a seamless, reliable, and high-performing digital workplace for our customers.
