📋 Description
- • Qodeworld is seeking a highly skilled and experienced QA Lead to spearhead quality assurance initiatives for our cutting-edge digital commerce platforms. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in shaping and executing our quality strategy, ensuring that our customer-facing digital experiences are not only robust and reliable but also deliver exceptional performance and user satisfaction. You will be based in Bangalore, working in a hybrid model, and will be an integral part of our Technology department, contributing to the success of our Digital Commerce initiatives.
- • As a QA Lead, your primary responsibility will be to lead and manage all aspects of quality assurance across our ecommerce projects. This involves developing comprehensive test plans, defining testing strategies, and overseeing the execution of various testing types to guarantee the highest standards of quality. You will be a key player in ensuring that our web and mobile platforms are thoroughly tested, identifying and mitigating risks before they impact our users.
- • A significant focus of this role will be on implementing and scaling QA automation frameworks. You will leverage modern tools and methodologies, such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright, to build and maintain efficient and effective automated test suites. This automation effort is crucial for accelerating our release cycles, improving test coverage, and ensuring consistent quality across frequent updates and new feature deployments.
- • You will drive rigorous functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing for critical ecommerce features. This includes, but is not limited to, the product catalog, promotional engines, inventory management systems, payment gateways, and site search functionalities. Your deep understanding of these ecommerce components will be vital in designing test scenarios that accurately reflect real-world user interactions and business requirements.
- • Collaboration is at the heart of this role. You will work closely with cross-functional teams within an Agile Scrum framework. This includes partnering with Product Owners to understand requirements, collaborating with Developers on bug fixes and feature implementations, working with UI/UX Designers to ensure a seamless user interface, and engaging with business stakeholders to align quality efforts with business objectives.
- • Ensuring a consistent and high-quality user experience across all devices and browsers is paramount. You will conduct extensive cross-browser and responsive testing, utilizing tools like BrowserStack or Sauce Labs to validate that our platforms perform flawlessly on a wide array of devices, screen resolutions, and operating systems.
- • A key aspect of modern digital commerce is robust analytics and A/B testing. You will be responsible for integrating and validating analytics data through Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager. Furthermore, you will support A/B testing strategies by ensuring the accurate implementation and measurement of test variations, providing data-driven insights to optimize user journeys and conversion rates.
- • You will own the entire test case lifecycle, from creation and execution to ensuring full traceability against requirements and defects. This meticulous approach to test case management ensures comprehensive coverage and facilitates efficient defect tracking and resolution.
- • Leading defect triages is a critical daily activity. You will facilitate these sessions, ensuring that defects are promptly identified, prioritized, and assigned. You will also be responsible for generating clear and concise test reports and publishing performance metrics dashboards using tools like JIRA, TestRail, or Zephyr, providing visibility into the quality status of our projects.
- • As a leader, you will manage and mentor a dedicated QA team. This involves providing guidance on best practices in testing and automation, supporting their professional growth and career development, and conducting performance reviews to foster a high-performing quality assurance function.
- • Your ultimate goal will be to ensure release readiness. This involves orchestrating smoke, sanity, and regression testing cycles across various environments (development, staging, production) to confirm that each release is stable and meets all quality gates before deployment.
- • You will act as a key quality champion throughout the entire development lifecycle. By proactively identifying potential quality risks and advocating for quality best practices, you will help embed a quality-first mindset within the engineering teams, ultimately leading to more reliable and successful product launches.
- • This role requires a deep understanding of headless commerce architecture and MACH (Microservices, API-first, Cloud-native, Headless) principles, ensuring our QA strategies are aligned with modern, flexible, and scalable digital commerce solutions.
🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Quality Assurance, with at least 3 years in a leadership or lead role.
- • Proven hands-on experience with leading ecommerce platforms such as Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC), Commercetools, or similar enterprise-level solutions.
- • Expertise in QA automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, WebdriverIO, Cypress, Playwright) and a strong understanding of automation best practices.
- • In-depth knowledge of ecommerce functionalities including product catalog management, promotions, inventory, checkout processes, site search, and SEO principles.
