📋 Description

• Serve as a QA Test Engineer on a 6-month contract engagement supporting a Quick Service Restaurant industry client of CompassX Consulting LLC.
• Be embedded directly within the client’s ecosystem to drive quality assurance initiatives for cross-service applications.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated validation frameworks using Playwright for end-to-end testing of modern web and service architectures.
• Execute and expand functional test cases for systems built on GraphQL APIs and real-time Pub/Sub communication protocols, including MQTT.
• Own end-to-end testing of critical use cases, ensuring reliability, accuracy, and performance across distributed software components.
• Identify and document failures across microservices, APIs, and event-driven systems with precision and actionable detail.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to improve test coverage, reduce regression risks, and enhance release quality.
• Pioneer the integration of AI-enhanced tools into the testing workflow to accelerate deployment velocity and improve defect detection rates.
• Work exclusively on CST timezone hours in a fully remote capacity, coordinating with client teams during standard business hours.
• Deliver high-quality test artifacts including test plans, execution logs, defect reports, and automation scripts in alignment with client standards.
• Adapt quickly to evolving client requirements and shifting priorities within a fast-paced consulting environment.
• Maintain strict adherence to client data security and compliance protocols across all testing activities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes by recommending tooling, automation enhancements, and best practices.
• Report directly to CompassX project leads while functioning as an integrated member of the client’s technical team.
• Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives as required by the client’s agile development lifecycle.
• Ensure all testing activities align with the client’s goals for digital transformation and operational efficiency in the Quick Service Restaurant sector.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience with Playwright for automated end-to-end testing
• Hands-on experience testing GraphQL APIs and real-time Pub/Sub systems (e.g., MQTT)
• Demonstrated ability to own and execute functional test cases for distributed software architectures
