• • As a QA Tester at VidRush, you will be instrumental in upholding and enhancing the quality of our cutting-edge AI video production platform. Your primary focus will be on identifying and rectifying defects, ensuring a robust and user-friendly experience for our diverse clientele. This role is designed for an individual who possesses an innate curiosity for uncovering edge cases, a proactive approach to identifying potential issues before they impact users, and a drive to improve product quality through systematic testing of real-world systems, rather than solely relying on manual clicking and basic bug reporting.
• • Your responsibilities will span across the entire product lifecycle, starting with the thorough testing of new features and releases within our web application and the intricate video generation pipeline. You will be the first line of defense against regressions, meticulously verifying that no issues creep into production, whether they manifest as user interface glitches, backend workflow failures, or discrepancies in output quality.
• • A key aspect of your role will involve crafting and maintaining comprehensive test plans for critical user flows. This includes, but is not limited to, the video generation process, editing functionalities, export capabilities, and the essential credits and billing workflows. Your detailed test plans will serve as a roadmap for ensuring the integrity and reliability of these core components.
• • You will be tasked with creating clear, concise, and actionable bug reports. These reports will include detailed reproduction steps, precise descriptions of expected versus actual outcomes, and supporting evidence such as videos and screenshots, enabling engineers to quickly understand and resolve issues.
• • Beyond individual testing, you will contribute to the development and refinement of our QA processes. This involves helping to build a scalable QA framework, including the creation of release checklists, the implementation of effective smoke tests to quickly validate core functionality, and establishing QA gating mechanisms to ensure only high-quality releases proceed.
• • Collaboration is central to our success. You will work in close partnership with our frontend, backend, and AI engineers. This collaborative approach will foster a shared understanding of product quality and drive continuous improvements in reliability and speed across the platform.

The ideal candidate will possess the ability to test complex systems that are rich with edge cases, moving beyond simple 'happy path' testing to explore the full spectrum of user interactions and system behaviors.
• • Strong written communication skills are essential, as you will be working in an asynchronous environment, primarily communicating via Slack and Discord. Clarity and precision in your written communications will be paramount for effective collaboration.
• • The ability to work independently with a high degree of autonomy is crucial. You will be expected to manage your workload, take initiative, and drive testing efforts without constant supervision.
• • While not mandatory, experience in testing AI media or video tools, creative software, or complex production pipelines would be a significant advantage. This domain-specific experience will allow you to hit the ground running and contribute more deeply from the outset.
