📋 Description

• • Lead end-to-end quality assurance strategy for Scribe’s desktop applications (Mac and Windows) and browser extensions (Chrome and Edge), ensuring high reliability across mission-critical user surfaces used by millions daily.
• • Design, implement, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks tailored to cross-platform desktop and browser extension environments, reducing manual testing overhead while increasing coverage and consistency.
• • Own release validation processes across multiple channels, identifying and mitigating risks before deployment to ensure stable, high-quality releases without compromising speed.
• • Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and design teams to define test plans, prioritize quality initiatives, and integrate quality gates into the development lifecycle.
• • Identify gaps in current testing practices and introduce structured, scalable processes that align with rapid growth and evolving product complexity.
• • Advocate for quality culture by mentoring QA engineers, guiding best practices, and leading technical discussions on testability, edge cases, and system behavior across platforms.
• • Supervise and grow a distributed QA team based in Serbia, including performance management, career development, and team enablement.
• • Diagnose complex issues across operating systems and browser ecosystems, working directly with engineers to reproduce, isolate, and resolve bugs with precision.
• • Evaluate and select testing tools and technologies that improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability across Mac, Windows, Chrome, and Edge platforms.
• • Maintain detailed documentation of test cases, automation scripts, and quality metrics to ensure transparency, auditability, and knowledge sharing across the organization.
• • Analyze release metrics and customer feedback to drive continuous improvement in testing strategies and proactively prevent recurring issues.
• • Champion a shift-left approach by embedding QA considerations early in product development cycles, from requirement reviews to design critiques.
• • Balance the need for rapid iteration with rigorous quality standards, enabling the organization to ship frequently while maintaining a high bar for user experience and system stability.
• • Participate in cross-functional planning sessions to align QA priorities with product roadmaps and engineering capacity.
• • Stay current with industry trends in QA automation, platform-specific testing challenges, and browser engine behaviors to continuously elevate team capabilities.
• • Represent QA in incident post-mortems, contributing root cause analysis and preventive measures to reduce future regressions.
• • Ensure compatibility and functionality across varied user environments, including different OS versions, browser updates, and hardware configurations.
• • Translate user workflows into comprehensive test scenarios that reflect real-world usage patterns across Scribe’s core functionality.
• • Drive adoption of automated regression suites and continuous testing pipelines to support daily releases and reduce time-to-feedback for engineering teams.
