You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining comprehensive automated test coverage for complex financial calculations, accrual logic, and critical edge cases that have a tangible impact on our users' operations. This includes scenarios that are vital in practice, not just theoretical possibilities.
• • A core aspect of your role will involve applying your accounting judgment to identify potential gaps, risks, and ambiguous behaviors early in the development lifecycle. • • Key Responsibilities:
• • Critically review product requirements, technical designs, and existing functionalities, with a sharp focus on accounting correctness, identifying potential financial edge cases, and ensuring adherence to contractual behavior.
• • Develop and meticulously define comprehensive test plans and coverage strategies for complex financial workflows, encompassing areas such as accruals, allocations, timing of financial events, and contract-driven financial logic.
• • Design, build, and maintain robust end-to-end automated UI and API tests to protect critical financial and customer-facing workflows from defects.
• • Leverage your accounting expertise to proactively identify and flag accounting risks, edge cases, and inconsistencies, especially when requirements are incomplete or undergoing evolution.
• • Review and provide constructive feedback on test automation code, test infrastructure, and related tooling to enhance efficiency and reliability.
• • Conduct targeted manual testing when necessary, particularly for intricate or novel financial scenarios that require nuanced judgment.
• • Collaborate effectively with Customer Support and other internal stakeholders to translate real-world customer issues into durable, automated test coverage, ensuring that common problems are prevented in the future.
• • Actively promote a culture of shared responsibility for quality across the engineering organization, with a particular emphasis on financially sensitive features.
