📋 Description

  • Verto Inc. is on a mission to democratize global finance, empowering businesses in emerging markets to connect with the world. Founded by entrepreneurs with firsthand experience of the challenges in cross-border payments, Verto has evolved into a market-leading platform facilitating billions of dollars in annual transactions. We are committed to creating equal access to seamless payment and liquidity solutions, bridging the gap between emerging and developed markets.
  • As a Reconciliation Analyst in our Pune office, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to financial management. You will be responsible for the end-to-end reconciliation process across multiple banking partners, working collaboratively with our payments, trading, and middle office teams.
  • Your primary responsibility will be to manage the daily reconciliation of financial transactions. This involves meticulous data gathering, in-depth analysis, and precise matching of all client deposits, withdrawals, FX conversions, and inter-product fund transfers across assigned accounts. The goal is to maintain the integrity of our financial records and ensure absolute accuracy in all reporting.
  • Beyond routine matching, a significant aspect of this role involves the active investigation of discrepancies, breaks, and variances. You will be expected to identify the root cause of these issues, take swift and decisive corrective actions, and implement measures to prevent their recurrence. This problem-solving element is crucial for maintaining operational excellence and mitigating financial risks.
  • You will contribute to the refinement and support of the overall reconciliation framework. This includes identifying areas for improvement within existing processes and assisting in the implementation of new procedures or tools that enhance accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Collaboration is key in this role. You will work closely with internal cross-functional teams, including payments and trading, as well as external banking partners. This collaboration is essential for ensuring seamless financial reporting, resolving complex issues, and maintaining strong relationships with our financial institutions.
  • This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to strategic projects aimed at optimizing the reconciliation process. You will be involved in integrating new systems, rolling out new reconciliation tools, and driving automation initiatives. Your insights and contributions will directly impact our long-term operational scaling and efficiency.
  • You will be instrumental in identifying opportunities for process improvement. This involves proactively seeking out inefficiencies, proposing innovative solutions, and contributing to the implementation of changes that enhance automation and overall operational effectiveness. Your analytical skills will be vital in driving these enhancements.
  • The role demands a strong understanding of payment processing, FX transactions, and the specific nuances of emerging markets, reflecting Verto's core mission. This knowledge will enable you to effectively manage reconciliations in a complex and dynamic financial landscape.
  • You will be expected to leverage intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills for data analysis and manipulation. Proficiency in functions such as VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, and the ability to handle complex datasets are essential for success in this role.
  • The ability to independently identify, investigate, and resolve reconciliation discrepancies is a core requirement. This demonstrates your capacity for self-sufficiency and your commitment to thoroughness.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills are paramount. A strict commitment to accuracy and meticulous attention to detail will ensure the integrity of Verto's financial operations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary for effective collaboration with both our globally distributed teams and external banking partners. You will need to articulate complex financial information clearly and concisely.
  • This role requires availability to work the specified shift hours of 10:30 AM – 7:30 PM IST, ensuring alignment with global operational needs and timely resolution of issues.
  • By joining Verto, you will be part of a mission-driven organization that is transforming global finance. You will have the opportunity to work in a high-performance culture that values ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Your work will directly contribute to simplifying cross-border payments and fostering economic growth in emerging markets. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in a rapidly growing FinTech company.
