- • Manage APP fraud recovery cases from initiation through to resolution, ensuring timely and accurate outcomes for both victim and perpetrator accounts.
- • Investigate fraudulent transactions by reviewing account activity, transaction data, and supporting evidence to determine recovery eligibility and outcomes.
- • Raise, track, and respond to recovery requests with sending and receiving financial institutions, including banks and payment service providers.
- • Ensure all recovery actions comply with regulatory requirements, industry schemes, and internal service level agreements.
- • Make fair, evidence-based decisions aligned with internal policies and external regulatory expectations in a high-volume operational environment.
- • Liaise with external financial institutions and industry partners to coordinate recovery efforts and resolve disputes related to authorized push payment (APP) fraud.
- • Identify trends, control gaps, and operational inefficiencies to recommend improvements that enhance recovery rates and reduce financial crime risks.
- • Support broader financial crime investigations where recovery activities intersect with fraud, mule account usage, or account misuse.
- • Maintain accurate, detailed case records and produce clear investigation notes and reporting for internal audits and compliance purposes.
- • Collaborate with Fraud Operations, Financial Crime, and Member Support teams to deliver positive customer outcomes and align recovery strategies with broader organizational goals.
- • Contribute to process improvement initiatives aimed at strengthening Tide’s fraud recovery capabilities and operational efficiency.
- • Work rotational shifts in a 24/7 operational environment, including weekends and public holidays, as required by business needs.
- • Demonstrate strong communication and stakeholder management skills when engaging with internal teams and external financial partners.
- • Remain calm under pressure, exercise sound judgment, and manage multiple priorities while meeting strict deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- • Act as a self-starter, taking ownership of cases from start to finish with minimal supervision and a focus on resolution.
- • Continuously learn and develop expertise in APP fraud typologies, financial crime risks, and recovery best practices.
🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum of 1 year of experience in fraud investigations, APP fraud, recoveries, financial crime operations, disputes, chargebacks, or a related banking operations role.
- • Understanding of APP fraud typologies, recovery processes, and financial crime risks.
- • Experience investigating complex cases and analysing transaction activity to make evidence-based decisions.
- • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends and recommend process improvements.
- • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting strict deadlines.
- • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with confidence to engage with internal teams and external financial institutions.
