  • • Be the first recruiter at WithCoverage and architect the talent engine that will power our 10x growth trajectory. You will own full-cycle recruiting for every function—engineering, product, risk advisory, sales, and operations—while building the processes, tools, and culture that attract world-class builders.
  • • Partner directly with founders JD Ross (Opendoor) and Max Brenner (Bain, Compound) to translate aggressive business goals into hiring roadmaps. You will forecast headcount, design role architectures, and create sourcing strategies that keep us ahead of our revenue curve.
  • • Source and close exceptional candidates who combine deep insurance expertise with Silicon Valley velocity. You will map the market for actuaries, underwriters, full-stack engineers, and enterprise sellers who can thrive in a high-automation, AI-augmented environment.
  • • Build a data-driven recruiting machine from scratch. You will select and configure ATS, CRM, and analytics tools; define funnel metrics; and publish weekly dashboards that give leadership real-time visibility into pipeline health and time-to-fill.
  • • Craft an employer brand that positions WithCoverage as the destination for ambitious professionals who want to modernize a $1T industry. You will own our careers page, social channels, and event strategy, turning client success stories into magnetic narratives.
  • • Design inclusive interview loops that balance speed with rigor. You will train hiring managers on structured interviewing, create rubrics that mitigate bias, and ensure every candidate—whether remote or hub-based—experiences a seamless, respectful process.
  • • Run high-touch candidate experience from first outreach to signed offer. You will write compelling JDs, coordinate complex calendars, negotiate equity packages, and shepherd new hires through onboarding so they hit the ground sprinting.
  • • Establish university and boot-camp pipelines to feed early-career talent into our risk analyst and engineering apprenticeship tracks. You will build relationships with career centers, host hackathons, and create referral programs that turn employees into evangelists.
  • • Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, and People Ops to ensure every hire aligns with budget, immigration, and compliance requirements. You will own background checks, visa sponsorships, and offer-letter generation with zero errors.
  • • Iterate relentlessly. You will A/B test messaging, experiment with new sourcing channels (Reddit, Discord, niche Slack communities), and implement AI sourcing agents to triple your reach without sacrificing quality or human connection.
  • • Report directly to the COO and sit at the leadership table. Your insights on market compensation, competitor moves, and talent trends will shape strategic decisions and board-level discussions.
  • • Within 12 months, scale the team from 40 to 100+ people while maintaining a sub-30-day time-to-fill and a 90% offer-accept rate. You will then hire and mentor junior recruiters to replicate your playbook across specialized verticals.
