- • Work remotely to professionally persuade customers to redeem repossessed vehicles or reinstate their contracts through phone and written communication.
- • Spend up to 85% of work time handling customer phone calls to negotiate payment arrangements and resolve delinquent account issues.
- • Analyze customer payment histories and repossession circumstances to determine eligibility and structure redemption payment plans within company policy guidelines.
- • Coordinate with repossession contractors and auction vendors to facilitate vehicle redemption and account resolution processes.
- • Process one-time payment requests over the phone and support additional customer service inquiries related to account status and payment options.
- • Adhere strictly to all company policies, legal requirements, and compliance standards in every customer interaction.
- • Maintain consistent attendance as outlined in the department attendance policy, including a required monthly Saturday shift (8:00 am–12:00 pm EDT) with flexible weekday hour adjustments.
- • Participate in virtual training sessions Monday through Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm, beginning June 15, 2026, to develop skills in negotiation, compliance, and call management.
- • Operate within a structured call model designed to measure performance based on the number of accounts successfully redeemed.
- • Apply active listening and open-ended questioning to understand customer situations, identify barriers to payment, and build trust through empathy and collaboration.
- • Demonstrate ownership of performance by actively engaging in coaching sessions, applying feedback to improve outcomes, and participating in ongoing training.
- • Exercise persuasive and negotiation skills to create urgency, set clear expectations, and drive accountability while maintaining a professional and respectful tone.
- • Utilize critical thinking and logic to interpret account histories and develop customized payment solutions that align with customer circumstances and company policies.
- • Maintain call efficiency by controlling the conversation, avoiding deviations, and ensuring resolutions are reached within each interaction.
- • Work a scheduled shift Monday through Friday, 12:00 pm–9:00 pm EDT, with one monthly Saturday shift and a one-day weekly flex adjustment to accommodate Saturday work.
- • Remain compliant with all legal, operational, and ethical standards while representing Credit Acceptance Corporation to customers and external partners.
- • Perform all other duties as assigned in alignment with department objectives and company values of positivity, respect, insight, directness, and earnestness.
🎯 Requirements
- • High school diploma or GED
- • High speed internet connection with a minimum of 15mbps download speed
- • Ability to work a scheduled shift of Monday–Friday, 12:00 pm–9:00 pm EDT, plus one Saturday per month (8:00 am–12:00 pm EDT)
- • Must be able to work from home and are not eligible to perform this role from California, Washington, or New York
