  • • Recruit, develop, retain, mentor, and lead a diverse team of pharmaceutical sales representatives to achieve strategic sales objectives and establish a cadence of accountability across assigned territories.
  • • Model leadership behaviors by fostering a shared vision, communicating clear expectations, promoting accountability, enabling team autonomy, and challenging outdated processes to optimize performance.
  • • Develop, implement, and cultivate a customer-centric business plan in collaboration with customer engagement and cross-functional teams to enhance customer experience and drive product demand.
  • • Build and sustain a high-performance, results-oriented culture where team members are empowered to speak up, solve problems, collaborate, compliantly experiment, and learn from failures.
  • • Design and execute market-based business strategies to meet sales targets, maximize product exposure, and identify new opportunities through data analysis, account profiling, and market evaluation.
  • • Proactively assess business challenges and recommend strategic solutions to Regional Sales Directors and district sales teams to improve outcomes.
  • • Implement sales and marketing programs aligned with Takeda’s U.S. growth strategy in the dermatology therapeutic area.
  • • Hold self and team accountable for achieving all sales goals and corporate objectives while ensuring full compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • • Establish and maintain productive relationships with key local, regional, and national Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), including health systems, group practices, networks, and prescriber thought leaders in dermatology.
  • • Serve as a liaison between sales, marketing, and other internal functions to align strategies and ensure cohesive execution across departments.
  • • Collaborate with Regional and National Account Managers to address managed market issues and implement initiatives that maximize sales and product access within the assigned region.
  • • Analyze complex sales and market data to develop actionable insights and strategic recommendations that inform business planning and execution.
  • • Ensure all selling activities adhere to Takeda’s compliance standards and all applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
  • • Provide strategic input to marketing teams to support the development and evolution of the dermatology product marketing plan.
  • • Travel 50-75% across Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Iowa to conduct in-field interactions, attend meetings, and support sales teams.
  • • Utilize digital tools, emerging technologies, and AI-enabled processes to enhance sales effectiveness and operational efficiency.
  • • Maintain proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for reporting, analysis, and presentation purposes.
  • • Reside within or in close proximity to the assigned geographic territory to ensure effective field presence and team accessibility.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA)
  • • Minimum 5 years of management-level experience in pharmaceutical, immunology, biologic/biotech, or medical device industries, including district management or specialty account management
  • • Recent dermatology experience and established relationships with medical dermatologists
  • • Prior experience as a pharmaceutical sales representative with a proven track record of sales success
  • • Demonstrated ability to coach, delegate, and motivate a sales team with timely feedback
  • • Valid driver’s license

🏖️ Benefits

  • • Base salary range of $176,000.00 - $242,000.00
  • • Eligibility for short-term and/or long-term incentives
