- • The VP, Business Development Consultant role at LPL Financial drives sales by identifying and recruiting premium segment financial advisors from top global banks, wirehouses, and RIAs, helping establish the firm’s presence in this high-value market segment.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include developing sales and recruiting strategies, sourcing and engaging prospects, owning advisor pipeline segments from initial contact to onboarding, meeting with prospects to demonstrate LPL’s value proposition, navigating long sales cycles, training internal staff on recruiting nuances, improving recruitment practices to source diverse candidates, leveraging data to track performance, and serving as a subject matter expert for the business development team.
- • LPL Financial is a leading independent broker-dealer supporting over 32,000 financial advisors and approximately $2.3 trillion in assets, offering advisors independence to choose their business model, services, and technology while fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and client-centricity.

🎯 Requirements
- • 10+ years of experience in the financial services industry with high proficiency in the RIA marketplace and working with wirehouse advisors
- • Willingness and ability to travel 60% of the time
- • Must reside in and/or be willing to relocate to New Jersey
- • Successful track record of managing and closing complex sales
- • Superior verbal, written, and listening skills with ability to adapt to different audiences
- • Consultative and relationship-building skills are essential
