- • Launch and scale Cognition’s South Korean operations as the first senior hire in the market, building the business from scratch.
- • Own full country-level P&L, including revenue generation, cost management, and operational performance for South Korea.
- • Build and lead a high-performing local team across sales, customer success, engineering, support, and operations functions.
- • Establish and manage strategic partnerships with South Korean enterprises and government agencies to drive market adoption.
- • Lead enterprise sales cycles end-to-end, closing complex deals directly and through partner channels.
- • Partner with global leadership to align product-market fit for South Korea, ensuring localization and regional relevance.
- • Represent Cognition externally within South Korea’s business and technology ecosystem, including industry events and key stakeholder engagements.
- • Design and implement scalable internal processes for customer onboarding, implementation, and success.
- • Provide direct feedback to Product and Engineering teams on localization needs, feature requests, and regional customer pain points.
- • Hire and develop world-class talent across all functions in South Korea, establishing a culture of performance and innovation.
- • Drive go-to-market strategy tailored to South Korea’s enterprise and government sectors, including pricing, positioning, and channel strategy.
- • Ensure exceptional customer experience across all touchpoints, from initial engagement to long-term retention and expansion.
- • Maintain deep understanding of South Korea’s regulatory, cultural, and business environment to guide commercial decisions.
- • Collaborate with global marketing and demand generation teams to tailor campaigns for the South Korean market.
- • Monitor competitive landscape and market trends in South Korea to inform strategic adjustments and growth initiatives.
- • Serve as the primary point of contact for all South Korea-related commercial and operational matters within Cognition.
🎯 Requirements
- • 10+ years of leadership experience in South Korea, ideally at fast-growing software or AI companies
- • Proven experience launching and scaling operations in new markets selling disruptive software
- • Deep relationships and understanding of South Korea's enterprise and government sectors
- • Strong enterprise sales, partnerships and GTM experience with a track record of closing complex deals
- • A blend of strategic thinking and hands-on execution
- • Fluency in Arabic and English
- • Experience building cross-functional teams from the ground up with world class talent
- • Passion for technology, innovation, and shaping the future of work
