- • As a Registered Dietitian at Equip Health Inc., you will play a critical role in delivering evidence-based, virtual eating disorder treatment to children and adolescents, working directly with families to restore healthy relationships with food and support lasting recovery through a family-based treatment approach.
- • Your expertise will directly impact patient outcomes by guiding nutritional rehabilitation, challenging disordered eating behaviors, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team to ensure cohesive, compassionate, and clinically excellent care.
- • Day to day, you will conduct initial nutrition assessments, develop and implement individualized meal plans aligned with Equip’s feeding philosophy, and provide ongoing support to patients and families in transforming maladaptive eating patterns into sustainable, healthy behaviors.
- • You will lead food exposure exercises, educate families on nutrition science and the psychological underpinnings of eating disorders, and communicate meal plans and nutrition-related concerns clearly to therapists, physicians, peer mentors, and family mentors to maintain a unified treatment approach.
- • You will update treatment plans weekly based on patient progress, reassess nutritional needs regularly, document all interactions thoroughly in the electronic medical record, and assist with discharge planning to ensure continuity of care beyond active treatment.
- • You will build therapeutic alliances with families through rapport-building, boundary-setting, and collaborative goal-setting, while echoing team directives to present a united front in all interactions.
- • You will participate in mandatory clinical meetings including group supervision, treatment huddles, labs/all hands, and individual supervision, contributing to team learning and case consultation.
- • You will manage a caseload of up to 80 patients, providing up to 29 hours per week of direct patient care, with flexibility to schedule sessions between 8am–8pm in the patient’s timezone, including a commitment to 16 hours after 2pm and two evenings per week until 8pm.

- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in eating disorder nutrition, family-based treatment modalities, and virtual care delivery, while developing leadership skills in interdisciplinary collaboration and contributing to a national effort to expand access to effective, equitable eating disorder treatment.
🎯 Requirements
- • Active Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) license required; bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an ACEND-accredited program.
- • Preferred experience in eating disorder treatment, with additional preference for familiarity with family-based treatment (FBT) approaches, though not required.
- • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills; ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative, remote-first environment while balancing clinical rigor with business needs.
