📋 Description

• • Lead the preparation, review, and submission of regulatory filings, rule amendments, notices, and other communications to the Commodity Futures Trading Commission and other regulatory bodies.
• • Oversee investigations into potential violations of internal rules, market conduct standards, and regulatory requirements, ensuring timely escalation and resolution of identified issues.
• • Partner with senior leaders to develop and execute regulatory compliance strategies that support business objectives while maintaining market integrity and regulatory adherence.
• • Manage regulatory reporting obligations and help ensure compliance programs, policies, and procedures remain effective and aligned with evolving regulatory expectations.
• • Collaborate with Product, Operations, Legal, Risk, and other cross-functional teams to identify compliance risks and implement practical, scalable solutions.
• • Build and maintain strong relationships with regulators and external stakeholders, serving as a trusted representative of the organization on regulatory matters.
• • Provide leadership and guidance across the Regulatory Compliance function, including acting as the senior compliance lead when necessary.
• • Support the development of future products and initiatives by evaluating regulatory considerations and helping establish compliant operating frameworks.
• • Work at the intersection of regulation, surveillance, and operations to influence both day-to-day compliance activities and the future of regulated products.
• • Ensure transparency, fairness, and trust in DraftKings’ prediction markets through proactive regulatory oversight.
• • Navigate a rapidly evolving regulatory landscape to protect the integrity of DraftKings’ financial and derivatives-based marketplaces.
• • Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory examinations, inquiries, and reporting requirements.
• • Apply deep knowledge of derivatives and financial market regulations to guide compliance strategy and operational execution.
• • Utilize market surveillance platforms, case management systems, and compliance monitoring tools to detect and address potential violations.
• • Maintain strict attention to detail when handling sensitive regulatory information and ensuring accurate documentation.
• • Influence stakeholders across multiple teams and levels of leadership to align compliance initiatives with business goals.
• • Guide the organization in adapting compliance frameworks to support innovation in prediction markets while remaining fully compliant.
• • Contribute to the development of scalable compliance processes that evolve with regulatory changes and business growth.
• • Represent DraftKings in interactions with federal and state regulatory agencies, including the Commodity Futures Trading Commission.
• • Ensure all compliance activities align with applicable state gaming licensing requirements and industry best practices.
