📋 Description

• As Regulatory Lead Counsel for the US at Binance Holdings Limited, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the company’s regulatory strategy in one of the world’s most complex and dynamic financial markets, ensuring compliance while enabling innovation in the rapidly evolving cryptocurrency and blockchain ecosystem.
• You will serve as the primary legal authority on U.S. federal and state regulatory matters, advising senior leadership on licensing, enforcement risks, and policy developments to safeguard Binance’s operations and reputation while supporting responsible growth.
• Monitor, analyze, and interpret evolving U.S. federal and state regulatory frameworks affecting digital assets, including securities laws (SEC), commodities regulation (CFTC), money transmission (FinCEN), banking oversight, and emerging state-level legislation, providing timely, actionable guidance to product, engineering, and compliance teams.
• Lead engagement with U.S. regulators, including the SEC, CFTC, FinCEN, state banking departments, and other relevant agencies, preparing responses to inquiries, managing examinations, and representing Binance in regulatory discussions and hearings.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive regulatory compliance programs tailored to Binance’s U.S. operations, including licensing strategies, registration pathways, and ongoing compliance monitoring for spot trading, derivatives, staking, lending, and Web3 products.
• Collaborate closely with global legal, compliance, product, and engineering teams to assess regulatory implications of new product launches and feature updates, ensuring alignment with U.S. laws before deployment.
• Author, review, and negotiate regulatory filings, licensing applications, correspondence with regulators, and external communications, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and strategic positioning.
• Mentor and guide junior legal staff on U.S. regulatory matters, fostering a culture of proactive compliance and regulatory awareness across the Binance legal function.

🎯 Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar.
• Minimum 8+ years of legal experience, with substantial focus on U.S. financial services regulation, including securities (SEC), commodities (CFTC), money transmission (FinCEN), or banking law, preferably in-house or at a top-tier law firm.
• Proven experience engaging with U.S. federal and state regulators, including drafting regulatory submissions, responding to inquiries, and managing examinations or enforcement matters.
