- • Provide expert regulatory guidance on product and service development by conducting compliance assessments for new initiatives within the UK market.
- • Research and analyze evolving UK regulatory developments, particularly those from the FCA, and advise internal stakeholders on necessary actions and impacts.
- • Execute and own the Compliance Monitoring Plan, including identifying issues, addressing findings, and engaging relevant business units to remediate gaps.
- • Support regulatory submissions such as licence applications, periodic reports, and responses to information requests from UK regulators.
- • Ensure accurate and timely regulatory reporting by overseeing data collection from business areas and performing validation checks.
- • Maintain, update, and refresh compliance policies and procedures in alignment with UK and FCA regulations, tracking required review cycles.
- • Act as a key liaison between Tide and external partners or service providers regarding regulatory oversight and compliance expectations.
- • Coordinate and deliver compliance and risk-related training programs across departments including Product, Member Operations, Payments, Marketing, Legal, and Finance.
- • Collect, analyze, and prepare management information (MI) for internal governance reporting and external regulatory submissions.
- • Track all regulatory deadlines, maintain a log of regulatory interactions, and prepare for FCA and other authority meetings and inspections.
- • Work closely with the 1LOD (First Line of Defense) to remediate regulatory oversight findings and strengthen internal controls.
- • Identify, assess, and monitor regulatory risks across the business, ensuring appropriate mitigation strategies are implemented and documented.
- • Support internal and external audits, participate in compliance reviews, and oversee the effective resolution of audit findings.
- • Engage cross-functionally to respond to compliance-related inquiries and ensure alignment across teams on regulatory obligations.
- • Contribute to Regulatory Risk & Compliance working groups by identifying key issues, driving resolutions, and escalating critical risks as needed.
- • Support the Regional Director of Risk & Compliance and Global Director of Compliance in strategic planning, governance activities, and regulatory engagements.
🎯 Requirements
- • At least four years of experience in Compliance, Regulatory Risk, or Risk Management within Financial Services
- • Direct experience interacting with regulators, managing regulatory notifications, and supporting inspections, audits, or thematic reviews
- • Familiarity with regulatory submissions, licence applications, and reporting requirements in the UK
- • Experience in oversight functions, monitoring key risk indicators (KRIs), and providing compliance advice on new products or services
- • Background in Banking, FinTech, Payments/E-Money firms, or Regulatory Consultancy
- • Fluency in English (mandatory)
