- • This fully remote Professional Medical Coder role at Guidehouse Inc. focuses on accurate coding of Evaluation & Management services and simple GI scopes in outpatient digestive health settings, ensuring compliance with ICD-10-CM, CPT/HCPCS, and CMS/MAC guidelines to support proper billing, reimbursement, and regulatory adherence.
- • The coder will review clinical documentation and diagnostic results to extract data, apply correct diagnosis and procedure codes, resolve coding denials, maintain 95% accuracy, meet daily productivity standards, and communicate promptly with facilities and internal teams to ensure timely claim processing and quality compliance.

🎯 Requirements
- • High School Diploma or equivalent
- • 3+ years of physician coding experience, including both inpatient and outpatient settings, with specific expertise in Evaluation & Management coding and outpatient GI scopes
- • Current CPC certification from AAPC, which must be maintained throughout employment
- • Proven experience with EMR systems and strong working knowledge of federal and state coding regulations, including ICD-10-CM Official Guidelines and CPT rules
- • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and communicate effectively with clinical staff, facilities, and internal teams
- • Consistent demonstration of high accuracy and productivity, including meeting 24-hour chart turnaround and responding to coding inquiries within eight hours
