- • Provide remote support to providers and nursing staff in delivering timely, quality patient health care services within a primary care setting.
- • Assist with virtual rooming of patients, including collecting and documenting vital signs and medical information according to clinical standards.
- • Obtain and verify accurate patient medical data, confirming details with patients and documenting per practice protocols.
- • Respond to electronic medical record (EMR) baskets by reviewing messages, test results, and provider requests, ensuring timely follow-up.
- • Coordinate lab and imaging results with providers, notifying them of any abnormalities or critical findings.
- • Prepare and submit medication refill requests for provider review and authorization.
- • Communicate patient education materials regarding test/procedure preparation, over-the-counter medication use, and treatment plans as directed by providers or RNs.
- • Provide preventative health information and guidance to patients as instructed by providers or registered nurses.
- • Assist with scheduling patient appointments and managing overall patient flow within the clinic.
- • Report any acute changes or concerns in a patient’s condition to the provider or RN immediately.
- • Attend monthly in-clinic meetings to align on workflow, patient care standards, and operational updates.
- • Participate in in-clinic training sessions and training at Allina Commons as required for role competency.
- • Perform duties in alignment with Allina Health’s mission of whole-person care and patient-centered service.
- • Adhere to Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy when handling equipment or materials up to 32 lbs. occasionally and 25 lbs. frequently.
- • Work a 32-hour weekly schedule across variable day shifts: Monday–Friday, with shifts including 8:30am–3:00pm and 10:15am–5:15pm.
- • No weekend rotation required.
- • Operate within the SEIU-6-Aspen Clerical and Technical-TAP union contract.
🎯 Requirements
- • Medical Assistant experience
- • Must be 18 years of age
- • BLS Tier 1 - Basic Life Support - Multisource certification required (or obtain within 30 days)
