📋 Description

• • As a Research Engineer – ML track at Mistral AI, you will build and optimize large-scale learning systems that power open-weight models, directly enabling researchers to accelerate their work by handling the heavy lifting of ML pipelines and tooling.
• • Day to day, you will interface cutting-edge research with production by integrating checkpoints, streamlining evaluation, exposing APIs, conducting experiments on large deep-learning models (e.g., sparsified 70B+ runs), designing and benchmarking ML algorithms, writing efficient Python code, and delivering prototypes that evolve into production-grade components for Le Chat and the enterprise API.
• • You will join either the Platform RE Team, enhancing shared training frameworks, data pipelines, and cluster tooling used across the company, or the Embedded RE Team, working inside a research squad (Alignment, Pre-training, Multimodal, etc.) to turn innovative ideas into scalable, repeatable code.
