📋 Description
- • Collects, analyzes, and maintains cost data to produce quarterly and annual financial reports used by management for clinical research operations.
- • Assists in the development, preparation, review, and evaluation of annual strategic planning, project budgets, and financial forecasts for clinical research studies.
- • Prepares and presents complex financial results to administration, focusing specifically on clinical study revenue, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation for future reference.
- • Designs and implements database applications for billing and invoicing using FIS/FOCUS/IDX-related systems to streamline financial data management.
- • Develops and deploys computer programs and account approval protocols to extract financial data from institutional account systems.
- • Prepares and reviews monthly sponsor billing for clinical research, tracking revenue streams and outstanding invoices to ensure timely collections.
- • Examines financial data to project short- and long-term financial outcomes for clinical research initiatives.
- • Participates in the development and evaluation of new processes related to external clinical study payments and reimbursement workflows.
- • Acts as a resource for the department on transactional inquiries and financial/budgetary questions requiring analytical problem-solving.
- • Reviews financial performance, operations, and accounts receivable for clinical research funds, identifying inefficiencies and proposing process improvements.
- • Collaborates closely with the Billing team to generate reports, review fund balances, end dates, spending limits, and other financial metrics for all clinical research accounts.
- • Serves as backup to process employee expense reimbursements, travel documents, purchase orders, blanket orders, invoice statements, and other administrative financial documents.
- • May plan, develop, and prepare special financial reports for senior management upon request.
- • Attends meetings, education programs, and workshops to remain current on financial practices, regulatory changes, and industry literature relevant to clinical research funding.
- • Maintains a normal office environment working conditions with typical desk-based tasks requiring minimal physical effort.
- • Uses standard office equipment including computers, software, and financial systems to perform all duties remotely.
