📋 Description
- • This Research Product Manager role at Granica Inc. is pivotal in addressing the core bottleneck in AI advancement: not model architecture, but how models are evaluated, how they learn post-training, and how they perform in real-world systems—especially with structured and relational data. You will define the foundational systems that turn AI research into scalable, economically impactful infrastructure.
- • Day to day, you will drive the definition of evaluation frameworks for model correctness and reliability in production, design continuous learning loops that enable post-training improvement from structured data, bridge data warehouses and lakehouses with ML systems to optimize learning from tabular data, and analyze trade-offs between compute, data efficiency, and performance to identify where system improvements generate economic value.
- • You will operate at the intersection of research, systems, and product within a team led by Stanford Professor Andrea Montanari, working closely with researchers and engineers to translate prototypes into production platform capabilities, all while operating in an ambiguous, innovation-driven environment focused on solving fundamental AI infrastructure challenges.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in AI systems, structured data platforms, and evaluation methodologies, gain end-to-end ownership of translating research into scalable infrastructure, and directly influence how AI models learn from real-world relational data—shaping the future of efficient, economically grounded enterprise AI.
🎯 Requirements
- • Experience in ML systems, AI infrastructure, or data platforms with a strong understanding of model training, evaluation, and deployment lifecycle
- • Proven ability to work with large-scale or distributed systems and apply systems thinking to reason about trade-offs across data, compute, and performance
- • Hands-on experience with relational or tabular data systems and familiarity with modern data platforms such as data warehouses, lakehouses, or similar technologies
- • Demonstrated product judgment in translating technical systems into platform capabilities and connecting system improvements to real-world economic outcomes
- • Comfort operating in ambiguous, research-driven environments and experience bridging research prototypes to production infrastructure
