Full Job Description

đź“‹ Description

  • • As a Resilience Advisor at MOXFIVE, you will be at the forefront of proactive cybersecurity, leveraging real-world incident response (IR) expertise to build robust security programs for our clients. This role is designed for individuals who have experienced the aftermath of cyberattacks and possess the unique ability to translate those hard-won lessons into preventative strategies. You will serve as a trusted advisor, owning client relationships and leading the delivery of our MOXGUARD advisory practice, which transforms immediate IR insights into long-term, prevention-focused security postures.
  • • Your primary responsibility will be managing a portfolio of retainer clients, ensuring their ongoing cyber resilience and onboarding new clients as the MOXGUARD program expands. Unlike traditional advisory roles that rely on generic frameworks, you will be empowered to draw directly from MOXFIVE's live IR operations. This unique access allows you to deliver intelligence that most consultants can only dream of, enabling you to design highly relevant tabletop exercises based on actual attack patterns and translate post-incident findings into tangible security improvements.
  • • You will work with a diverse range of clients across critical sectors including healthcare, financial services, manufacturing, legal, and government. Your ability to understand attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) from raw IR data and synthesize this into actionable guidance will be paramount. You will identify exploitable misconfigurations, critical identity gaps, and ineffective security controls, then translate these into strategic programs designed to close vulnerabilities before they are exploited.
  • • A key aspect of this role involves facilitating engaging tabletop exercises with client incident response teams, simulating realistic attack scenarios. You will also be responsible for presenting comprehensive cyber resilience roadmaps to executive leadership, including Chief Financial Officers (CFOs), demonstrating the strategic value of your recommendations. Your technical credibility will be essential in building trust with security practitioners while your strategic acumen will resonate with executives.
  • • You will lead the delivery of annual Active Directory posture reviews, identity gap analyses, and visibility evaluations, providing clients with a clear understanding of their current security landscape. Developing and presenting each client's Annual Cyber Resilience Roadmap is a core duty, creating a 12-month action plan tailored to their specific maturity, risk profile, and business priorities. This roadmap will be a living document, guiding clients towards enhanced resilience.
  • • Facilitating tabletop exercises grounded in real attack patterns observed during MOXFIVE's IR operations is a critical function. These exercises, which may include on-site sessions to foster deeper collaboration, will prepare clients for real-world threats. You will also conduct annual risk and exposure assessments, identifying vulnerabilities and presenting clear, actionable findings to mitigate them.
  • • Maintaining consistent client engagement through recurring meetings is vital to ensure roadmap progress and keep advisory services sharp. Coordinating biannual policy and runbook alignment reviews will ensure that client documentation accurately reflects effective practices derived from actual incidents, rather than theoretical ideals.
  • • In the realm of threat intelligence and content development, you will deliver monthly IR-informed threat intelligence briefings tailored for both technical teams and executive leadership. You will communicate recurring patterns and trends observed across MOXFIVE's IR engagements—such as common misconfigurations, identity weaknesses, and control failures—and proactively embed these insights into client programs to prevent future incidents.
  • • Your role extends to strategic consulting and implementation, where you will lead projects stemming from IR engagements, converting post-incident recommendations into deployed security solutions. This involves scoping requirements, developing statements of work, overseeing technical resources, and supporting the delivery of Resilience consulting engagements. You will also identify opportunities to expand existing consulting engagements into long-term MOXGUARD relationships, fostering deeper partnerships.
  • • Furthermore, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of the MOXGUARD practice by refining methodologies, developing templates, and enhancing processes. You will also play a role in business development activities, including participating in scoping calls, contributing to proposals, and presenting to potential clients, showcasing the unique value proposition of MOXGUARD.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 6+ years of progressive cybersecurity experience, with at least 3 years in client-facing advisory, consulting, or senior technical roles.
  • • A strong technical foundation in incident response, digital forensics, and threat analysis, with the ability to translate IR findings into strategic advisory content and tailored client recommendations.
  • • Foundational understanding of Active Directory security, identity and access management, and enterprise security architecture.
  • • Proven ability to build trusted relationships and communicate with credibility to both technical practitioners and C-suite executives.
  • • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent client engagements.
  • • Understanding of cyber insurance processes, coverage requirements, and carrier expectations.

🏖️ Benefits

  • • Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.
  • • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • • Generous paid time off (PTO) and company holidays.
  • • Opportunities for professional development and continuous learning, including certifications and training.
  • • Remote work flexibility, allowing for a healthy work-life balance.
  • • Collaborative and innovative work environment with a team of highly skilled cybersecurity professionals.
