Revenue Accounting Manager

📋 Description

• • The Revenue Accounting Manager will own the accuracy, integrity, and scalability of Function Health’s revenue across all products—from subscriptions and advanced imaging to genomics and future launches. This role is critical as the company transitions from outsourced to in-house revenue accounting, building the financial foundation that supports rapid, multi-product growth while ensuring compliance with ASC 606.
• • Day to day, the role involves owning key aspects of the monthly and quarterly revenue close, including revenue recognition, deferred revenue, and reconciliations across multiple revenue streams; applying ASC 606 to complex and evolving revenue models such as subscriptions, imaging services, and bundled offerings; partnering with Product, Engineering, Operations, and Finance to ensure revenue data is complete and accurate between operational systems and the general ledger; designing, documenting, and implementing scalable processes, SOPs, and internal controls; serving as the primary point of contact for audit requests; and evaluating new products and contract terms for accounting impact ahead of launch.

• • In this role, you will build systems, controls, documentation, and workflows from the ground up as the company transitions to in-house revenue accounting; gain deep expertise in applying ASC 606 to complex, multi-product revenue models in a high-growth environment; shape the future structure of the revenue accounting function; and develop cross-functional leadership skills by partnering across Product, Engineering, Operations, and Finance to ensure financial integrity enables innovation.
