- • We’re seeking a Revenue Accounting Manager to lead our revenue accounting team and own our revenue recognition strategy, processes, and systems.
- • Reporting to the Finance Director of Order to Cash, you will manage a team of two Revenue Accountants while ensuring compliance with IFRS 15 accounting standards and optimizing revenue processes across the organization.
- • You’ll lead a revenue finance team of approximately three people and work closely with Deal Desk, Sales Operations, Legal, Product, and the wider finance team to ensure accurate and timely revenue recognition.
- • This is a player-coach leadership role: you will manage, develop, and set direction for the team while staying hands-on with technical accounting, complex contracts, and large-scale data analysis in a fast-growing SaaS environment.
- • Your responsibilities will include:
- • Team Leadership & People Management: Lead, manage, and develop a team of two Revenue Accountants, setting clear goals and priorities and reviewing their work for quality and accuracy.
- • Revenue Recognition: Ensure accurate and timely recognition of revenue in compliance with IFRS 15.
- • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual closing adjustments and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- • Data Analytics & Automation: Develop and maintain SQL queries to extract data from various infrastructure (e.g., Salesforce, Databricks) for monthly revenue closing and reporting.
- • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline efficiency and enhance revenue recognition processes within complex contracts.
- • Compliance and Audit: Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Deal Desk, Legal, Sales Operations, and Product to ensure alignment on revenue-related matters.
- • Qualities we look for include:
- • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in revenue management or accounting, with prior people-management or team-lead experience.
- • Education & Certification: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a qualified accountant (CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- • Technical Skills: Data fluency, AI-native ways of working, and proficiency in Workday or Chargebee.
- • Communication & Collaboration: Fluency in English, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and strong stakeholder management skills.
- • Personal Attributes: High attention to detail and accuracy, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in financial reporting.
🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in revenue management or accounting.
- • Prior people-management or team-lead experience, with a track record of developing direct reports and managing team deliverables.
- • Strong experience with IFRS 15 is essential.
- • Experience at major international accounting firms (KPMG, Deloitus, EY, or PwC) is strongly preferred, at assistant manager or manager level or equivalent.
- • Audit experience, particularly within SaaS environments, is highly valued.
- • Experience working in SaaS or high-volume data environments.
