- • Serve as the Motorola Solutions System Manager for the PremierOne Records Management System (RMS) at the Prince William County Police Department facility in Manassas, VA.
- • Provide on-site technical support and maintenance for customer RMS systems, related services, and integrations at a government public safety location.
- • Build and sustain positive, collaborative relationships with customer personnel, including end users and departmental stakeholders.
- • Execute and enforce customer operations policies and procedures in alignment with public safety protocols.
- • Initiate, track, and resolve system issues proactively, ensuring timely follow-through to full resolution.
- • Communicate regularly and clearly with requestors regarding the status of work orders, including progress updates and delays.
- • Troubleshoot and resolve application-level issues involving hardware, network components, and third-party integrations.
- • Maintain and monitor Microsoft Windows Server and Desktop Operating Systems, including adherence to MCSA/MCSE standards.
- • Manage and support Microsoft SQL Server environments, including ODBC connections and Operations Manager (SCOM) monitoring.
- • Configure and maintain network infrastructure components such as firewalls (Fortigate preferred), routers, Network Load Balancing (NLB), and clustering.
- • Support enterprise hardware systems including HP blades and Storage Area Networks (SAN).
- • Utilize virtualization software to manage system environments and optimize resource allocation.
- • Remain current on public safety application best practices, market trends, and evolving customer workflows.
- • Identify and implement internal process improvements to increase operational efficiency and system reliability.
- • Work independently with minimal supervision while managing a dynamic, multitasking workload in a high-pressure environment.
- • Adhere to the U.S. Department of Justice’s Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy while operating in a high-security government facility.
- • Maintain compliance with all government-mandated background clearance requirements for access to sensitive criminal justice data.
- • Collaborate effectively in both team-based and solo work settings to ensure seamless system performance and customer satisfaction.
- • Apply foundational knowledge of SQL, XML, and .NET to support system integrations and data workflows.
- • Support NIBRS incident-based reporting standards as required by public safety reporting mandates.
- • Ensure all system activities align with Motorola Solutions’ commitment to public safety and mission-critical service delivery.
🎯 Requirements
- • High School Diploma, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree required
- • Must obtain and maintain government background clearance as required by public safety customers
- • 3+ years of experience with Public Safety Applications, specifically Records Management Systems (RMS)
- • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Windows Server, SQL Server, and SCOM
- • Proven ability to troubleshoot hardware, network, and application-level issues in a public safety environment
- • Strong verbal and written communication skills with experience working directly with government customers
