Full Job Description

đź“‹ Description

  • • Work on real, production-grade robotic systems—not prototypes—deploying and maintaining intelligent automation solutions in live manufacturing environments.
  • • Take full ownership of customer deployments from initial integration through to technical sign-off, ensuring systems operate reliably under continuous production conditions.
  • • Develop and customize robotic behaviors by extending existing platform components, including behavior trees, to meet specific customer requirements and operational constraints.
  • • Implement missing functionality and resolve complex software and system integration issues that directly impact deployment success and system reliability.
  • • Perform advanced troubleshooting, debugging, and root-cause analysis across robotics software, hardware, networking, and system integrations in live production settings.
  • • Diagnose and resolve critical issues within manipulation, motion planning, perception, and execution pipelines on real robotic hardware.
  • • Conduct hands-on integration, validation, and stress testing of robotic systems in real-world manufacturing environments.
  • • Integrate end-to-end robotic systems using ROS2, connecting perception, motion planning, and PLC interfaces into a unified execution pipeline.
  • • Own deployment readiness by leading technical sign-off, delivery planning, and effort estimation for customer installations.
  • • Collaborate closely with Field Deployment, AI, and Simulation teams to ensure seamless execution and alignment across technical domains.
  • • Contribute to the improvement of documentation, deployment processes, and engineering best practices to scale operations across multiple customer sites.
  • • Work within real-world constraints including timelines, cross-team dependencies, and operational limitations to deliver production-ready robotic solutions.
  • • Engage directly with customers to understand requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and ensure successful go-live of robotic systems.
  • • Participate in continuous improvement of deployment methodologies and system robustness based on field feedback and performance data.
  • • Support the evolution of the company’s robotic platform by identifying gaps in functionality and proposing scalable solutions for broader adoption.
  • • Maintain clear and effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure alignment on deployment goals and outcomes.
  • • Document system configurations, issue resolutions, and operational procedures to enable knowledge transfer and future scalability.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Experience developing robotics software using ROS2 and simulation frameworks (e.g. Isaac Sim or similar)
  • • Strong programming skills in Python
  • • Experience working with robotic manipulators, end-effectors, and real-world robotic manipulation systems
  • • Experience designing robot behaviours using behaviour trees or similar frameworks
  • • Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills across distributed robotic systems, including software, hardware, and integration issues
  • • Experience diagnosing and resolving complex deployment issues in production robotic environments

🏖️ Benefits

  • • High exposure: Work directly with founders and leadership on decisions that shape the company’s trajectory
  • • Career acceleration: Develop deep, end-to-end expertise across robotics software, system integration, and real-world deployments with clear pathways into technical leadership or broader ownership
  • • Real impact: Own and deliver customer deployments end-to-end, with your work directly determining system performance, reliability, and successful go-live in production environments
