📋 Description

  • • Bring up and operate off-the-shelf robot platforms including humanoids, manipulators, and mobile bases for model evaluation and data collection.
  • • Integrate cameras, depth sensors, IMUs, and other sensors required for world-model rollouts and policy evaluation on physical robot platforms.
  • • Own the end-to-end data pipeline from robot to training, including logging, sensor synchronization, calibration, and data replay.
  • • Build and maintain test rigs and benchmarks that quantify model performance improvements over time in real-world robotic environments.
  • • Debug and resolve failures across hardware, drivers, and integration code to ensure continuous operation of the robot fleet.
  • • Serve as the critical bridge between AI research and physical deployment by translating model requirements into actionable robot behaviors and sensor configurations.
  • • Maintain and optimize the operational stability of commercial robotic systems under experimental conditions.
  • • Collaborate with research and engineering teams to align robotic capabilities with the needs of multimodal foundation models.
  • • Configure and calibrate sensor suites to ensure high-fidelity data capture for training and validating world models.
  • • Document robot configurations, sensor setups, and debugging procedures to enable reproducibility and team scalability.
  • • Adapt robot platforms to new experimental protocols and rapidly iterate on hardware-software integration challenges.
  • • Ensure compliance with safety protocols during robot operation in lab and field environments.
  • • Participate in the design of robotic experiments that validate model generalization across diverse physical scenarios.
  • • Maintain version control and traceability of robot software stacks, firmware, and sensor calibration parameters.
  • • Proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks in data throughput, latency, and system reliability affecting model training cycles.
