As a Roto Paint Artist, you will play a crucial role in the post-production pipeline, directly supporting and partnering with our esteemed compositors to achieve the highest levels of VFX realism.
• • In this role, you will be responsible for meticulously isolating and refining elements within shots, ensuring seamless integration and contributing significantly to the overall visual integrity of the final product. Your work will be instrumental in creating believable and immersive cinematic experiences that captivate audiences worldwide. You will report directly to the Roto Paint Supervisor, who will provide guidance and support as you navigate complex projects and develop your expertise within our collaborative environment.
• • Your primary focus will be on executing high-quality rotoscoping and paint work, which forms the foundational layer for sophisticated compositing. This involves accurately tracing and separating moving objects or characters from their backgrounds, creating clean mattes that allow for precise manipulation of individual elements. You will employ a variety of techniques and tools to achieve this, paying close attention to detail, edge quality, and motion blur.
• • Beyond basic roto, you will also engage in advanced paint tasks. This includes removing unwanted objects or artifacts from shots, such as wires, rigs, or green screen elements, and seamlessly reconstructing the background to appear as if they were never there. You will also be responsible for digital cleanup, fixing imperfections, and ensuring continuity across frames. This might involve subtle color corrections, texture painting, or cloning to match surrounding areas, all while maintaining the natural look and feel of the original footage.
