- • As a Safety Driver at Avride, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe deployment and real-world testing of autonomous vehicle technology in partnership with Uber, directly contributing to the advancement of self-driving systems that aim to improve urban mobility and road safety.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities will include operating Avride autonomous vehicles in Downtown Dallas under varying conditions, conducting pre- and post-trip safety inspections, monitoring system performance during autonomous mode, intervening when necessary to maintain safety, collecting and reporting operational data, supporting technical tasks such as software updates and hardware checks, and maintaining clear communication with remote operators and engineering teams.
- • You will be part of Avride’s Operations Team, a mission-driven group focused on bridging cutting-edge autonomous technology with real-world application, working closely with engineers and QA specialists to validate system reliability and safety in live environments.

🎯 Requirements
- • Valid US driver’s license held for at least 3+ years with a clean driving record, including no DUIs, drug, or alcohol-related offenses in the past 5 years
- • Proven ability to anticipate hazards, react quickly and safely under adverse conditions, and maintain full attention while operating a vehicle
- • Excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a high sense of ownership and responsibility
- • Willingness to work in various weather conditions and on different road types, including urban downtown environments
- • Successful completion of background check, driver record check, and drug test prior to start
