- • Represents ZEISS and its interests in the aerospace and defense market segment.
- • Collaborates with the Head of Business Development to define and develop optimal go-to-market channels and strategies.
- • Creates and executes a multi-year product or segment development plan to drive long-term growth.
- • Proactively enables Regional, Distribution, and Product Sales teams to sell defined products within targeted segments.
- • Delivers continuous sales education on products and applications to internal sales teams and partners.
- • Identifies, cultivates, and develops key strategic accounts within the aerospace and defense industry.
- • Partners with Sales and Marketing teams to strategically build and nurture the sales funnel.
- • Achieves monthly, quarterly, and annual sales performance and booking targets for the assigned territory.
- • Meets targeted sales margin goals while driving revenue growth.
- • Plans and allocates strategic resources including product demonstrations and technical support tools.
- • Monitors and communicates competitor activities and market developments affecting the aerospace and defense sector.
- • Identifies emerging opportunities and formulates actionable strategies to capitalize on them.
- • Provides weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales forecasts based on pipeline analysis and market trends.
- • Builds and maintains strong rapport with regional sales teams, product managers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- • Supports and participates in Sales & Marketing events, trade shows, and industry engagements.
- • Conducts frequent on-site visits to key customers, distributors, and the broader sales network to strengthen relationships and drive pipeline conversion.
🎯 Requirements
- • 4-year degree in a technical discipline (mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or physics preferred)
- • 4-7 years of sales or business development experience, with CAD/CAM, metrology, or related fields as a benefit
- • 10 years of related industry experience in engineering, quality, metrology, inspection, or machine tool
- • Fluency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
