  • • As a Sales Development Representative (SDR) at Megaport, you will be at the forefront of executing our ambitious inbound and outbound sales strategies, directly contributing to the hyper-growth and scaling objectives of our Americas Sales team. This is a unique opportunity to not only implement creative and effective processes but also to actively shape the world-class methodologies that define our go-to-market approach. Your primary mission will be to engage with prospective clients, meticulously qualify their needs to determine the suitability of Megaport's NaaS solutions, and diligently generate new meetings and qualified sales opportunities. This will be achieved through a combination of responding promptly to inbound marketing qualified leads (MQLs) and proactively executing targeted outbound prospecting campaigns.
  • • You will be an integral part of a high-performing team, reporting directly to our Global Sales Development Leader within the Go-To-Market (GTM) Transformation team. You will collaborate closely with a dedicated group of professionals who possess an unwavering drive and infectious energy, all united by a common objective: accelerating revenue growth. Your efforts will directly support the North American Sales organization, and you will partner intimately with account executives and sales managers to execute a winning growth strategy. Furthermore, you will forge strong working relationships with our marketing team, collaborating on targeted messaging campaigns that resonate with our ideal customer profiles and align seamlessly with Megaport's overarching business goals. This role demands a proactive, results-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving landscape.
  • • Your responsibilities will encompass a broad spectrum of sales development activities. You will be responsible for conducting initial discovery calls with potential customers, understanding their current network challenges, and identifying how Megaport's innovative NaaS platform can address their specific business requirements. This involves asking insightful questions, actively listening to prospect needs, and effectively articulating the value proposition of Megaport's services. You will leverage various sales enablement tools and technologies, including CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), sales engagement platforms (e.g., Outreach, SalesLoft), and prospecting databases, to manage your pipeline, track your activities, and ensure efficient follow-up.
  • • A key aspect of this role involves mastering the art of outbound prospecting. You will research target accounts, identify key decision-makers and influencers within those organizations, and develop personalized outreach strategies through email, phone calls, and social selling. The goal is to cut through the noise and initiate meaningful conversations that lead to qualified opportunities. You will continuously refine your messaging and approach based on feedback and performance data, always seeking ways to improve your effectiveness.
