- • Avery Dennison is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Executive to join our National Grocery Team, focusing on the critical CPG Shopper market. This remote position is instrumental in driving budget shifts towards the adoption and deployment of Vestcom Media Solutions (VMS) products and services. You will be a key player in penetrating CPG Shopper teams, leveraging your expertise to secure significant media spend and foster long-term partnerships.
- • As a Sales Executive, your primary responsibility will be to develop and execute strategic sales plans aimed at driving profitable top-line revenue growth. This involves engaging in consultative, top-to-top selling methodologies with large, complex retailers, CPG companies, and media agencies. Your success will be measured by your ability to build and nurture high-level customer relationships with senior leadership, ensuring a deep understanding of their marketing, merchandising, and operational strategies.
- • A significant aspect of this role involves collaborating closely with retailer retail media networks and merchandising departments to seamlessly implement Vestcom Media Solutions across major grocery chains, specifically targeting Albertsons and Kroger stores nationwide. You will be tasked with directly engaging CPG Shopper Teams to secure media spend for VMS products and services, demonstrating a clear understanding of how our offerings align with their strategic objectives.
- • You must possess the ability to confidently articulate the Vestcom shelf-edge value proposition. This requires a strong, working knowledge of our comprehensive solutions, products, and services, enabling you to influence clients effectively. Your persuasive skills will be essential in demonstrating how VMS can drive measurable results for their shopper marketing initiatives.
- • Strong analytical skills are paramount. You will need to dissect key retailer and CPG measurement criteria, understanding both top-line and bottom-line metrics to build compelling business cases. Exceptional listening skills are equally important, allowing you to truly understand client needs and apply creative problem-solving abilities to tailor solutions that address their unique challenges.
- • This role carries the significant responsibility of carrying an individual quota in the tens of millions, underscoring the strategic importance of your contributions. You will own your prospecting approaches, meticulously developing presentations and proposals that position VMS as the premier choice for shopper media value.
- • Effective management of your sales pipeline is crucial for achieving sales goals. You will be expected to deliver consistent close rates and provide detailed, accurate sales forecasting utilizing our existing CRM tool. Continuous monitoring of customer, market, and competitor activity is also required, with a mandate to provide valuable feedback to company leadership.
- • A forward-thinking approach is essential. You must possess the ability to understand evolving market dynamics and actively evangelize and execute next-generation solutions, particularly in the digital space. This includes staying abreast of industry trends and identifying opportunities for VMS to lead.
- • You will represent VMS at key industry trade shows and local retailer and marketing events, acting as a brand ambassador and expanding our network. Furthermore, you will work collaboratively and cross-functionally with other members of the Vestcom Executive, Marketing, Strategy, Business Development, Finance, Solutions, and Shopper teams to ensure a cohesive and successful sales process.
- • Ensuring compliance with all internal policies, procedures, and internal controls in accordance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 Section 404 is a non-negotiable aspect of this role. This includes maintaining accurate records and adhering to all regulatory requirements.
