- • As a Sales Representative for Acushnet Company, you will be instrumental in driving the growth and success of our iconic FootJoy golf products within a defined geographic territory in the New York metropolitan area. This pivotal role involves not just selling but also serving as a dedicated brand champion and a trusted business advisor to our direct accounts. Your primary mission will be to achieve ambitious sales and distribution objectives, ensuring FootJoy maintains and strengthens its leading position in the market, all while embodying the company's commitment to excellence and innovation in the world of golf.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities will be dynamic and customer-centric. You will lead comprehensive sales and service efforts for assigned FootJoy product lines, diligently working to meet and exceed the revenue and unit distribution goals set forth by Sales Management. This involves a deep understanding of our product offerings and the needs of our direct accounts. A significant part of your role will be managing all administrative functions with precision and efficiency. This includes ensuring strict adherence to pricing policies, entering orders accurately and promptly, overseeing car-stock inventory to ensure product availability, meticulously tracking promotional budgets to maximize return on investment, and maintaining up-to-date and comprehensive account records. Furthermore, you will be responsible for executing effective in-store merchandising strategies. This means ensuring that product displays are attractive, well-maintained, and strategically placed to maximize sell-through and minimize product returns, thereby enhancing the customer shopping experience and driving sales.
- • Building and nurturing strong, customer-focused relationships is at the core of this position. You will achieve this through consistent, proactive communication, ensuring timely follow-up on all inquiries and issues, and demonstrating effective problem-solving skills. It's crucial to balance the unique needs of each customer with the overarching objectives of the company, fostering loyalty and trust. A key aspect of your role will be to actively represent and promote the FootJoy brand at various events. This includes participating in sectional, state, and designated championship events, where you will engage directly with potential customers and influencers. Your ongoing engagement with PGA Professionals, Assistant Professionals, and other key amateur influencers will be vital in expanding our reach and reinforcing brand advocacy within the golf community. This multifaceted approach ensures that FootJoy remains top-of-mind for golfers and industry professionals alike.

- • Bachelor’s degree required
- • Minimum of 2 years of prior field sales experience required
- • Knowledge of FootJoy products required
- • Ability to drive extensively throughout an assigned geographic territory
- • Overnight travel required as necessary to ensure optimal territory coverage
- • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
