- • As an Automation Sales Specialist on Red Hat’s Technical Sales team, you will drive sales of the Ansible Automation Platform to North America Public Sector Naval agencies, directly supporting mission-critical automation initiatives that reduce toil and increase efficiency for defense operations.
- • Day to day, you will own the development of new strategic sales opportunities, lead customer presentations on business value and solution positioning, maintain deep product and industry knowledge, coordinate with Customer Success on delivery, and guide expansion beyond initial deployment to scale adoption across naval accounts.
- • You will join a high-performing, mission-focused sales team within Red Hat, a global leader in open source enterprise software, where collaboration, transparency, and innovation are core to serving complex public sector clients with cutting-edge automation solutions.
- • In this role, you will develop expertise in selling complex automation solutions to defense customers, master the MEDDPICC framework, influence C-suite stakeholders, and grow your ability to orchestrate cross-functional teams while contributing to Red Hat’s mission of advancing open source technology in critical national security environments.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience selling technology products to Naval agencies or the Department of Defense
- • Strong technology foundation with ability to translate business value (e.g., background in sales engineering, product management, consulting, or startup environments)
- • Proven track record of proactive prospecting and success using the MEDDPICC framework to qualify opportunities
- • Experience with Ansible or comparable automation technology and key use cases such as Infrastructure as Code, security, and network automation
- • Compelling presenter capable of delivering technical demos and C-suite-level presentations
- • Entrepreneurial mindset with prior startup experience considered a plus
