📋 Description

  • Join Twilio, a global leader in communications, as a Sales Support Specialist and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of customer engagement from the comfort of your home. We are a remote-first company dedicated to empowering businesses and developers worldwide with innovative communication solutions. As a Sales Support Specialist on our Strategic Sales team, you will be the operational backbone for our Account Executives (AEs), acting as the crucial link between various internal departments and ensuring the seamless progression of deals through the entire sales cycle.
  • This role is ideal for a hungry and ambitious individual with a genuine passion for communications technology, a strong desire to contribute to positive customer outcomes, and an aspiration to be part of a world-class sales organization. You will be instrumental in managing the intricate operational aspects that support our AEs, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and timely execution of critical sales processes. Your ability to navigate complex workflows and collaborate effectively will be key to your success and the success of the sales team.
  • A core responsibility will be to build out and manage Pricing and Deal workflows. This involves preparing detailed pricing structures, mastering internal pricing tools, and accurately creating and amending Order Forms. You will engage directly with client stakeholders to ensure the Proposal Bill of Materials (BOM) is precise and complete. Furthermore, you will be responsible for quote creation, leveraging CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) workflows to generate customer-facing quotes and documentation, ensuring all details are accurate and reflect the client's needs.
  • You will serve as a vital Internal Liaison, expertly navigating and coordinating with multiple departments to facilitate deal progression. This includes creating and submitting requests to Billing, Deal Strategy, Legal, and Security teams, and diligently following up to ensure timely resolution. Your role will involve working collaboratively with internal stakeholders such as Deal Desk, Contracts, Legal, Pre-Sales, and Security to ensure all aspects of the sales process are smooth and efficient. You will be responsible for ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and represented correctly, interacting with people, data sets, and established processes.
  • While the primary focus is operational support, you will also contribute to customer success through the preparation for sales meetings and conducting background account research for selected accounts, which will constitute less than 10% of your time. This research will provide valuable insights to support strategic sales initiatives and deepen our understanding of client needs.
  • To support overall team success, you will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of a team-level tracker for all cross-functional challenges and requests. You will actively work with Regional and frontline leadership to follow up on these items and drive them to resolution, ensuring accountability and continuous improvement within the sales operations.
  • Twilio values diverse experiences and encourages individuals from all backgrounds to apply. We believe that unique perspectives fuel innovation. If you are a detail-oriented, results-driven individual with a collaborative spirit and a "can-do" attitude, eager to contribute to a high-performing sales organization, this role offers an exceptional opportunity to grow your career in the dynamic field of communications technology. Your ability to advocate for customers internally, manage multiple priorities, and maintain exceptional organizational skills will be paramount. This is a remote position based in Ontario, British Columbia, or Alberta, Canada, offering flexibility and the opportunity to make a significant impact.

🎯 Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in sales operations, Deal Desk, or customer success/account management.
  • Proficiency in Google Sheets and Excel, with a strong ability to manage and analyze data.
  • Experience working within Salesforce CRM.
  • Results-driven, detail-oriented, and dedicated individual with a collaborative approach and a "can-do" attitude.
  • Basic understanding of enterprise-level business operations and how different functions interact.
